Kunstmuseum X The Fashionweek

During the first edition of The Hague Fashion Week 2020 Kunstmuseum Den Haag and The Fashionweek brought a pop-up fashionexhibition to the city center of The Hague.

The Fashionweek selected work of The Hague based designers such as Stijn Koks, Erik Frenken, Peter George d’Angelino Tap, Allan Vos, Nata Ryzh and Michelangelo Winklaar. Together with a selection of designs from Kunstmuseum Den Haag (Yves Saint Laurent, Maison de Bonneterie, Frank Govers and Carosa House) the designs made a colorfull rainbow in one of the rooms of Venduehuis.

The exhibition was very well visited and coronaproof because of timeslots.

For the special The Hague Fashion Weekend 2020 edition of fashionmagazine Hague Magazine, The Fashionweek and Madurodam put their hands together for a spectaculair photoshoot with The Hague based designers such as Michelangelo Winklaar, Yamuna Forzani, Earta van Varsseveld, Ahfex Tesfom and Nata Ryzh. The complete fashionseries is now to be seen in the magazine in print.

The Hague Fashion Weekend 2020

From 25 to 27 September 2020, The Hague Fashion Weekend, The Hague was all about fashion. With catwalk shows, exhibitions, film and workshops.

During fashion shows in The Student Hotel, 20 fashion talents from The Hague showed their collections. From couture to streetwear came along. The shows could also be followed on the LED staircase of Spuimarkt on the Grote Marktstraat.

The fashion exhibition, with work by various designers from The Hague and dresses from the archives of the Kunstmuseum in the Venduehuis, attracted many visitors. Designs by fashion designers such as Peter George d’Angelino Tap, Michelangelo Winklaar, Frank Govers, Maison de Bonneterie and Yamuna Forzani were on display.

The upcycled fashion workshop in collaboration with Madurodam, the shop windows of Uniqlo with the upcycled collection of ROC Mondriaan students and the documentary ‘Martin Margiela; in his own words’ provided a nice finale to this first edition of The Hague Fashion Weekend.

The Hague Fashion Week (preview edition) 2019

The Hague Fashion Week presented itself for the first time in 2019. Fourteen talented fashiondesigners from the city of The Hague came together in three fashionshows. The catwalk was set up at the Grote Marktstraat in downtown The Hague in the evening of Shoppingnight. The event was visited by thousants of enthousiastic live visitors to this free preview event.

Participating designers: Black Bananas, Michelangelo Winklaar, Nata Ryzh, Wiepke Wolfsbergen, Michael Barnaart, Moofers Clothing, Allan Vos, Miss Pearl, Natalie van de Klashorst, Céline Bregman, Lois Bransen, Casey Hefferon, and Earta van Varsseveld.
